A guided tour underground in Falun Mine is both an adventure and a walk through history.

Our guide takes you through the mine tunnels that were used from the Middle Ages to the early 1900s, with emphasis on the time the Falun Mine was the largest copper mine and affected people far outside of Dalarna, Sweden. Let the earth and see how copper has been mined, from the earliest times to the present.

The tour is suitable for the whole family, from three years upwards. During the walk there are many stairs and it is important that all visitors can walk on your own all the way. It is best to have rugged footwear and warm clothing, the temperature of the Falun Mine is about five degrees and it is dirty. Falun Mine do not lend boots to visitors. All visits to underground is done with a guide.

July 1 - August 15: Mon-Fri 10.15-4, Sat-Sun 11.15-3.

September 1 - September 23: Mon-Fri 10.15-4, Sat-Sun 11.45-3.

September 24 - April 30 2013: Mon-Fri 2, Sat-Sun 12 and 2.
